And Around We Go
Joe and I never did anything in a straight line. From the day we met, we wore each other down, with our inability to do things traditionally. We were never on time for anything; never followed patterns our friends forged toward good careers and stability. Joe and I never minded the scramble that comes from free-falling.
It wasn’t a straight-line plan when we had baby Sam; we’d barely decided to live together! Timing isn’t our forté either, but he’s the best thing we’ve done.
Predictably, Joe didn’t use a straight line to seal the deal; a perfect gold ring did.

That’s so awesome, James! Not the mention, which is great and much appreciated, but the publishing!! SO glad it all worked out with your publisher and you’re on the road! I have had so many frustrating set backs, over this past year or so… crazy disappointing at times, this publishing gig. I do love following your FB antics though. 🙂 Keep me posted on publication date, etc, though I’m assuming we’ll see word on FB. SO exciting!! Mazel tov!! xo

Thanks Lain. I feel like I barely have the time lately, but love FF! I often get a story in my head right off, but then it takes days to get it done! Glad you liked it and got the references. I appreciate the feedback.

After I wrote my story, I noticed that the wheel had a perfect 4 leaf clover shape in the middle. And, Friday was St. Patrick’s Day. My miss …. : ) Happy Belated St. Patty’s Day if you celebrate. I have 3 Irish lassie granddaughters. One is named Erin. Can’t get more Irish than that???!!!
But … I digress. I enjoyed the build-up of this story. A great write for 100 words. The ending leaves hope for them.

Yes, I have a lot of Irish in me; my grandfather came over in the early 40’s. I have one grandson, Amitai, who lives in Israel… Hebrew name. But, he’s still got some Irish in there too! 😉 Hope your weekend is great too!

I guess I wouldn’t have thought of a relationship whilst looking at the photo. It was surprising as it was so far from what I might have come up with. Surprising in a very positive way. 😊❤

That’s one of the things I love most about Friday Fictioneers… each of us sees something different, in every photo. You probably find that with the photo booth photos too. 😉 There’s a unique story, depending on what you see.
